Privacy Policy – Calendar Ortodox Plus

Calendar Ortodox Plus is an Orthodox calendar, prayer, and tradition app. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the app, what stays entirely on your device, and how we handle your information.

1. Information We Collect

Local data only
Everything you add in the app — pomelnic (prayer list) entries, lit candles, saved names for nameday reminders, notification and appearance preferences — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. There is no account and no sign-in.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes or hits an error, a technical report (crash type, device model, OS version) is sent automatically to Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix the problem. These reports do not include your name, email, or any content from your pomelnic or notes.

Purchase data (Google Play Billing)
If you unlock Extra or send a "colac" (a symbolic one-time support gesture), the purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. The app only receives confirmation of the purchase — it never sees or stores your payment details.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• No account registration, name, email, or phone number is required
• No advertising, no ad networks, no ad tracking of any kind
• No analytics SDKs — only crash reporting as described above
• No access to contacts, location, camera, or microphone

3. In-App Purchases

"Extra" unlocks additional content (full saint biographies, the complete prayer and akathist library, PDF export, multiple candles, unlimited namedays, monastery maps, and the full traditions/Rânduieli reference) via a monthly or quarterly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled from Google Play. "Colac" is a separate, optional, one-time symbolic purchase that supports the developer — it does not unlock anything and is non-refundable once delivered, except as required by Google Play's refund policy. All billing is handled entirely by Google Play Billing.

4. Permissions

• Notifications — optional reminders for the saint of the day, fasting days, and namedays, only if you enable them in Settings
• Vibration — haptic feedback for the prayer-rope counter (Metanier)
• Internet — used only for crash reporting and purchase verification; the rest of the app works fully offline

5. Third-Party Services

• Firebase Crashlytics — crash and diagnostic reporting
• Google Play Billing — purchase processing

6. Data Retention

All personal data is stored locally on your device and removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Crashlytics diagnostic data follows Google's own retention policies. We do not store any personal data on our own servers.

7. Children's Privacy

Calendar Ortodox Plus contains content suitable for the whole family, including a short stories section for children, but it is not directed specifically at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
